John 10:1-21 | April 26, 2026
rejoice
Reread John 10:1-21. Pray and ask the Holy Spirit to stir faith and joy in your heart towards God. Stop and intentionally worship God in response to what is revealed about God in this passage.
Rejoice that you have a Good Shepherd who calls you by name, leads you, provides for you, and protects you.
Read vs 14 & 15 and rejoice that you are known by Jesus in same way that the Father knows him, and that he shows the depth of his love through the way that he laid his life down for you.
reflect
What in this passage is helping you see where you’re in need of spiritual formation (growing into the image of Christ)?
Do you hear the voice of your Shepherd? What is he saying to you in this season of your life?
Are you able to see the ways that you prefer yourself over Christ as the good shepherd over your life?
Do you regularly “graze”, enjoying the goodness of God everywhere you go? Do you experience the “I shall not want” that David describes in Psalm 23? If not, could it be that you are following bad shepherds?
respond
Is the Holy Spirit prompting obedience from you this week? Tell someone and ask them to hold you accountable.
Take a step of obedience in response to your Shepherd’s voice.
See one person in your life in light of the reality that Jesus is their Good Shepherd - pray for them and speak words of reminders of this reality. Your spouse, your child, your brother/sister in Christ.
