Joshua 4:1-24 | December 14, 2025

Listen

rejoice

  • Reread Joshua 4:1-24. Pray and ask the Holy Spirit to stir faith and joy in your heart towards God. Stop and intentionally worship God in response to what is revealed about God in this passage.

  • Take time alone this week to rejoice in the faithfulness of God toward you and his mighty deeds throughout history, especially at the cross and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

reflect

  • What in this passage is helping you see where you’re in need of spiritual formation (growing into the image of Christ)?

  • Are there “stones” that God is calling you to pick up and put on display as a testimony to his faithfulness in your life?

  • How would you assess your ability to recognize God working out his promises in you and in your midst?

  • Who in your life needs help remembering God’s mighty deeds in them and for them?

respond

  • Is the Holy Spirit prompting obedience from you this week? Tell someone and ask them to hold you accountable.

  • Do something (whether collecting stones or journaling or something like it) this week that very specifically helps you continually remember God’s goodness toward you throughout your life.

  • Report to someone this week the wonderful works and mercy of God toward you.

  • Through the power of the Holy Spirit, attempt to help someone recount and remember God’s history of good works in their life so that they may rejoice in him.

read ahead (next week)!

  • John 4:31-45

What’s the purpose of this page?

In hearing the weekly Sunday sermons, the seeds of the word of God are being sown in your heart.

We aim to help you water that seed so that you may bear the fruit that comes from repentance and belief in the person and finished work of Jesus Christ.

You may use this privately, with your family, for midweek groups, or an impromptu Bible study with a friend.
