John 6:1-21 | January 25, 2026

Listen

rejoice

  • Reread John 6:1-21. Pray and ask the Holy Spirit to stir faith and joy in your heart towards God. Stop and intentionally worship God in response to what is revealed about God in this passage.

  • Jesus is showing his authority and control over all elements by creating new bread and fish out of nothing, walking on water, and carrying them to the shore. Come to him today as he is, not as you have made him out to be in your mind.

  • “The less Jesus has to work with, the more he does.”

reflect

  • What in this passage is helping you see where you’re in need of spiritual formation (growing into the image of Christ)?

  • Are you trying to make Jesus King so that you can benefit from him, or do you obey him because he is King?

respond

  • Is the Holy Spirit prompting obedience from you this week? Tell someone and ask them to hold you accountable.

read ahead (next week)!

  • John 6:22-59

What’s the purpose of this page?

In hearing the weekly Sunday sermons, the seeds of the word of God are being sown in your heart.

We aim to help you water that seed so that you may bear the fruit that comes from repentance and belief in the person and finished work of Jesus Christ.

You may use this privately, with your family, for midweek groups, or an impromptu Bible study with a friend.
